What this site is for
Crypto Sportsbooks covers one market for one audience: sportsbooks licensed outside the United States whose cashiers settle in cryptocurrency, and American bettors deciding whether and how to use them. We publish what each book's sports terms actually commit to, what the turnover attached to them would cost to clear, and how the coin you hold changes the wait at both ends. Every figure carries a date, because every figure in this market moves.
The specific gap we exist to fill is the settlement layer. Pages on this subject tend to publish a coin logo strip and a payout time, and the payout time is usually the least verifiable number on the page. We would rather explain which half of a pending withdrawal belongs to the blockchain, where that half is genuinely predictable, and where the rest of the wait sits.
How we work
The method is documentary and it is described in full in how we rate, weightings included. Short version: we read the published terms and the cashier pages, we record the numbers with the date, and where an operator publishes nothing we say so rather than estimating. Protocol facts about networks are kept visibly separate from claims about operators, because they are different kinds of statement with different evidence behind them.
How we make money
Some links here are commercial. If you open an account through one, the operator may pay us a commission, and it costs you nothing extra. That arrangement pays for the site and it is disclosed at the foot of every page.
What it does not do is buy position. Rankings come from the published criteria, operators do not see reviews before publication, and an operator whose terms get worse falls. The clearest evidence we can offer sits on the money page itself: the book with the longest excluded-jurisdiction list in our lineup is reviewed under a heading that says exactly that, and the book with the biggest headline offer is reviewed alongside the arithmetic showing what clearing it would cost.
What we will not publish
- A withdrawal time nobody measured.
- A per-brand list of accepted coins, unless a source we can cite states it.
- A bonus code we cannot attribute to the operator itself. Where we withhold one, we say we are withholding it rather than leaving a gap that reads as no code existing.
- A claim that any operator is safe, guaranteed or risk free, or that betting with crypto is anonymous, untraceable or tax free.
- A licence attribution for a named brand that was not checked against the regulator's own register.
- Anything explaining how to get around a verification request.
Responsible gambling
Everything here is aimed at adults of 21 or over betting money they can afford to lose. If that has stopped being true, our responsible gambling page sets out the deposit limits, cool-off periods and self-exclusion tools worth using, including what is different about a crypto balance, and the free national helpline numbers are in the footer of every page.
